My story
Our beautiful mother, Maureen, passed away on 4 February 2023 and this donation page has been set up in her memory.
She had type 1 diabetes for over 50 years and greatly benefited from the charity Diabetes UK. Their support ranged from giving her dietary advice to helping her feel part of the community and less isolated in managing diabetes.
Diabetes UK helped mum and others by carrying out vital research enabling her to use new technology, medications, dietary and wellbeing advice. They, along with amazing health care professionals who work closely with Diabetes UK, supported her to manage her diabetes well enabling her to live her life to the fullest.
